Auburn Company Acquires Express Funeral Funding

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, however a spokesperson for Messenger tells Inside INdiana Business the company plans to add personnel to accommodate the growth of Express.
Messenger produces stationery, funeral service items and personalized solutions for the funeral industry. President Kevin Keane said his company sought to acquire what he calls one of the fastest-growing companies in the funeral profession. "This will allow Messenger to broaden our existing product line and services to funeral homes and cemeteries, while providing innovative solutions for families during their most difficult time of need."
Express Funeral Funding provides insurance assignment funding services for funeral homes and cemeteries. Steve Calloway, president and co-founder of Express, says he believes the acquisition will provide greater service for its partners.
Messenger says no jobs will be negatively affected by the deal.
