IU School of Medicine Names New Leader of Neurosurgery

Subscribe NowThe Indiana University School of Medicine and IU Health Physicians have named Shelly Timmons to lead the department of neurosurgery. She previously served at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center as vice chair for administration in the department of neurosurgery and director of neurotrauma. A graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Timmons earned her medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria in 1991. She completed residency training at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center–Memphis in 1997 and earned a PhD in anatomy and neurobiology there in 2002.
