INDIANAPOLIS -

The Indiana Chamber of Commerce Tuesday night released rankings and celebrated 125 companies from throughout the state as the 2019 Best Places to Work. The program, in its 14th year, ranks organizations in four size categories. The companies that took the top spots include one that was on the list for the first time and another that has topped the list seven times. The chamber says companies often use the rankings, determined through employer reports and employee surveys, to develop and strengthen talent retention and recruitment efforts.

Bedford-based JA Benefits LLC took the top spot in the small category (15-74 U.S. employees) and Indianapolis-based Moser Consulting won the medium category (75-249 U.S. employees). Both companies have been honored as Best Places to Work multiple times, but took top spots for the first time.

Indy-based Group management Services topped the large category (250-999 U.S. employees) in its first year on the Best Places to Work list. Tech giant Microsoft, which has a significant Indianapolis presence, won the major category (1,000 or more U.S. employees) for the seventh time.

Edward Jones and Katz, Sapper & Miller have made the Best Places to Work list for all 14 years of the program's existence.

The chamber honored the companies during its annual Best Places to Work dinner at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, emceed by Inside INdiana Business Host Gerry Dick.
