Boone County to Host Job Fair

The job fair will be held at the Whitestown Municipal Complex. The job fair will be held at the Whitestown Municipal Complex.

The Boone County Economic Development Corp. will Monday host a job fair in Whitestown. More than 25 companies will be on hand looking to fill over 600 open positions.

The Boone County Job Fair will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Whitestown Municipal Complex. The event is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring multiple copies of their resume and dress professionally.

The employers taking part in the job fair represent a variety of industries, including manufacturing, business services, logistics and distribution, education, healthcare and retail. They will be looking for full-time, part-time, temporary and seasonal employees.

      Kitchenware Maker to Close in Terre Haute

      Illinois-based Columbian Home Products LLC has sent a letter to the State of Indiana saying it intends to close its plant in Terre Haute and lay off 82 workers. According to the WARN letter sent to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development, the layoffs will begin on December 1.
