In a notice to the state, the company says nearly 270 employees will be out of work as a result of the move.
Galichia did not provide a reason for the closure. The hospital’s website says the process of closing has already begun and is expected to be complete on or before May 1.
The closure is expected to be permanent. The company says the affected employees are not represented by a union and do not have bumping rights.
