UTXL Launches Indy-Based Software Company

INDIANAPOLIS -

Mark Hogan, chief executive officer of Kansas City-based UTXL, Inc. announced today the launch of Haul Street Inc. a cloud-based software company. Josh Jonte has been named co-founder and president of Haul Street, which will be based in Indianapolis.

Jonte says a main focus will be to improve in-transit shipment visibility to reduce costly inefficiencies while increasing shipper, driver and carrier satisfaction. 

"There is a huge pile of money being wasted every year in the freight industry that can be significantly reduced with useful technology solutions such as our VuTrans tools. We have been honored to profitably pilot our VuTrans software with one of the nation's largest freight shippers throughout 2017 and 2018." Hogan said in a news release.

Future product plans for the company include leveraging advanced analytics, IoT data, machine learning, statistical learning, voice recognition and mobile applications to continue to improve network utilization, reduce waste and provide real-time shipment visibility.

      State Revenue Ticks Higher in August

      Indiana revenue in August exceeded projections by nearly four percent. The Indiana State Budget Agency reports General Revenue funds last month hit $1.1 billion, 3.8 percent above projections. Sales tax revenue came in higher than anticipated at $693 million, more than three percent higher.
