Columbus Company Expanding to Europe

Columbus-based LHP Engineering Solutions has announced plans to expand operations to Europe. The engineering services provider and technology integrator says LHP Europe Srl will be headquartered in Italy and focus on what it calls the quickly-evolving European automotive market.

The company did not provide details on its financial investment in the expansion or if the new venture will result in additional jobs. A request for comment from Inside INdiana Business was not returned.

In a news release, the company says LHP Europe will provide engineering services and technology integration for OEM customers in the transportation, industrial, and manufacturing industries. It will have specific capabilities in areas such as advanced controls and code generation, rapid prototyping for modeling and simulation, and development platform and application life cycle management, among others.

      Cloverdale Ethanol Plant Closes

      South Dakota-based POET LLC, the nation’s largest biofuels producer, is moving forward with a plan to shut down its biorefining plant in Cloverdale, leaving 50 Hoosiers without jobs effective Friday.
