BosmaForce Represents Nonprofit’s Entry Into High-Tech Training

(NYSE: CRM) are already reaping benefits from the 18-week course. BosmaForce, a program that involves Salesforce Administrator Certification Exam preparation and internships for individuals who are blind or visually impaired, is fully online and can be taken anywhere throughout the country. Three of the four students in the first cohort have received certification for the high-demand skill and the fourth is sitting for the exam.
In an interview with Inside INdiana Business, Instructor TJ McElroy said BosmaForce is Bosma Enterprises first foray into training in a high-tech field. "We chose Salesforce administrator as a starting point because we have experience with the class," McElroy said. "We’re looking at other computer-related, technical types of jobs that folks with disabilities can do. You know, given the adaptive equipment and the right training, a disability is not going to stop somebody from a high-tech position."
The curriculum trains students using the Salesforce Trailhead. Bosma says people who are blind and visually impaired have a 70 percent unemployment rate nationally, but figures from Indeed.com show Salesforce administrators make an average salary of more than $85,000 and the site shows some 2,800 openings for the position.
