State Announces STEM Acceleration Grant Recipients

Subscribe NowThe Indiana Department of Education has announced recipients of the state’s first K-6 STEM Acceleration Grants. The funding will support research efforts to provide Indiana leaders with evidence of the impact of STEM activities in Hoosier classrooms.
The IDOE says the research conducted with these grants will help develop recommendations to improve elementary and secondary student achievement and participation in STEM subjects. The recipients chosen for the grants are currently implementing various state- and nationally-recognized curriculum options.
"An education grounded in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics helps prepare students for academic success, while preparing them for life beyond high school," said Indiana Superintendent of Public Instruction Jennifer McCormick. "As State Superintendent, I am excited Indiana is able to award this ground-breaking grant, and I want to commend the awarded schools for their dedication and commitment to this opportunity for students."

- Fayette County School Corporation
- Lebanon Community School Corporation
- MSD Lawrence Township
- MSD Southwest Allen County Schools
- School City of Mishawaka
- Spencer-Owen Community Schools
- Tippecanoe School Corporation
- Tri-Creek School Corporation
- Warrick County School Corporation
