New Buildings Proposed at Ignition Park

Subscribe NowThree new buildings are planned for the South Bend industrial park that used to be home to the Studebaker Corp. The South Bend Tribune reports the 900 Franklin Street project is being developed at Ignition Park by Charlie Hayes and family, who own Hayes Towers. The $1.5 million initial phase will include a 30,000 square-foot building that is slated to be built this summer. Two smaller buildings could be build with four years.
Hayes tells the publication Five Corners LLC, the new family-owned business behind the project, will allow the family to expand into the real estate development business.
In addition to the more than 100 telecommunications structures Hayes Towers has built in the last 24 years, the company also owns Telecompark, which is located next to Ignition Park, and serves as a communications base for telecommunications providers. Ignition Park is currently home to a portfolio of facilities that includes the University of Notre Dame Turbomachinery Laboratory, MicroIntegration, HeadQuarters at Ignition Park, Data Realty and Aunalytics.
