Raytheon, B&D Land Military Contracts

Subscribe NowThe U.S. Department of Defense has awarded multi-million dollar contracts to two companies in Indiana. Raytheon Co. in Indianapolis and B&D Electric Inc. in Daviess County are slated to receive $56 million and up to $20 million, respectively, for the work.
The contract with Raytheon calls for repair of radar systems for the F/A-18 aircraft. Work on the contract will be performed in Indianapolis and is expected to be completed by February 2019. The Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support in Philadelphia is the contracting activity.
Meanwhile, the contract for Washington-based B&D Electric calls for electrical utility services to be performed at Naval Support Activity Crane and the Glendora Test Facility in Sullivan. The DOD says some of the work will include various interior and exterior electrical maintenance and repair, fiber installation and repairs, installation of interior electrical work.
The majority of the work will take place at NSA Crane. Work is expected to be complete by February 2021. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command in Virginia is the contracting activity.
