Johnson Memorial to Celebrate New Rehab Center

FRANKLIN -

Officials with Johnson Memorial Health will Saturday cut the ribbon on its new Rehabilitation and Orthopedic Center in Franklin. The facility is part of the health system's $42 million hospital campus construction project, which broke ground in August.

The more than 20,000-square-foot center houses physical, occupational and speech therapy/rehabilitation services as well as orthopedic care services, according to Johnson Memorial.

Saturday's ribbon cutting ceremony, scheduled for 8:00 a.m., will be followed by a community health fair. Running until 11:00 a.m., the health fair will feature free health screenings, including lab draws, blood pressure screenings, and body composition testing, among other services.

The overall construction project includes a new emergency and outpatient addition replacing the oldest part of Johnson Memorial Hospital. Ahead of the groundbreaking ceremony last year, the health system said the addition was expected to be complete in 2019.
