The project was recently approved for $400,000 in funds from the Regional Cities Initiative. The total investment in the project is nearly $2.8 million.
Plans call for a 50,000 square-foot facility with access to fiber connectivity and availability to expand to as much as 300,000 square-feet in the future. In all, Regional Cities of Northern Indiana pitched more than three dozen projects totaling more than $700 million in potential investment. The Argos Manufacturing Center is located in the city’s 75-acre industrial park.
Marshall County Economic Development Corp. Chief Executive Officer Jerry Chavez says "Argos is very committed and has taken a proactive yet aggressive position to attract new industry to the community. Through best practices in design and construction and committed partners, the Argos Manufacturing center will offer businesses a below market-price building with tons of flexibility all of which provides strategic advantages in the Indiana market."
The shell building is set to be complete in December.
