SOUTH BEND -

South Bend-based Trek10 Inc. has named Shane Fimbel chief executive officer. The tech company says Fimbel, who most recently served as chief operating officer of Global Access Point LLC in South Bend, will lead the company's scale-up efforts.

Trek10 Founder and Board Chairman Andy Warzon had previously served as acting CEO. The company says, with Fimbel in place, Warzon will assume the role of chief technology officer and continue to lead the board.

"This is the perfect time for Shane to become Trek10’s Chief Executive Officer. We’ve selected a proven leader at a time when Trek10 is strong and readied for growth," said Warzon. "Shane has the unique ability to translate vision and strategy into world-class execution, bringing together individuals and ecosystems to produce tremendous results."

Fimbel earned his bachelor's degree from Wabash College and a Doctorate in Neuroscience from the University of Notre Dame. He also serves on the board for the Center for Innovation, Business, and Entrepreneurship at Wabash College.
