A division of Cincinnati-based The Kroger Co. has selected a new president. Liz Ferneding will lead Ruler Foods, based in Seymour, following the May retirement of former President Paul Bowen.

Ferneding most recently served as director of corporate buying at Illinois-based ALDI Inc. 

Ruler Foods currently has 48 stores in operation in Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri, Ohio and Tennessee. Kroger says two more Ruler stores are set to open later this year.
