Saint Joseph's College in Rensselaer is remembering the former chair of its board of trustees. Stephen Ligda, who was also a former president of the Saint Joseph's College Alumni Association, passed away last week from complications related to ALS. He was 76.
A Saint Joe's graduate, Ligda received the college's Distinguished Alumni Award in 2009. In a post on Facebook, the college called Ligda "one of our most prominent Pumas."
"Stephen’s dedication and passion for Saint Joseph’s will be sorely missed," the college said.
