A group of lawyers and support staff from one of Indiana’s largest law firms is joining with one of the state’s smallest firms. The group from Hall Render Killian Heath & Lyman will join with Indianapolis-based Katz & Korin P.C. to create one of the top 25 largest firms in the Indianapolis area.

The combined firm, which will be known as Katz Korin Cunningham P.C., says it will offer a complete range of legal services for businesses, entrepreneurs, healthcare providers and governmental entities. The transition will bring the firm to a total of 40 attorneys and support staff.

The transition is expected to close by June 30. Michael Gabovitch, managing partner of Katz & Korin, will continue as managing partner of the combined firm. The firm’s executive committee will include Gabovitch, Cunningham, Offer Korin, Hannah Kaufman Joseph and Chris Riegler.

Katz Korin Cunningham will operate from the downtown Indianapolis headquarters of Katz & Korin. Both firms will continue under their current leadership structure until the merger closes.
