Indy Tech Space Lands Fiber Service

Posted: Updated:
INDIANAPOLIS -

Indianapolis-based LightBound has launched its fiber-based Internet service in The Union 525. John Hurley, a partner at the downtown Indianapolis tech space, says the service will offer flexibility and scalability for startup and scale-up companies.

LightBound says it will offer Internet speeds ranging from 100Mbps to 10Gbps for companies within the Union 525 space. Hurley says having those types of speeds is a "crucial amenity," considering the Union caters to the tech community.

"Indiana's most promising tech companies can achieve their potential while attracting the best and brightest local and national talent. If we want to attract technology companies, funding, and talent to Indiana, these services are a must," said Jack Carr, chief executive officer of LightBound. "LightBound has been supporting the tech community for over 20 years, and we think The Union has a unique value proposition that solves many of the challenges tech companies have as they build their businesses. If we can play a small part in helping to make that happen, we all win."

Since the beginning of the year, The Union 525 has attracted a number of clients, including tech companies such as Levementum, greenlight.guru and the new Launch Indy coworking space. It will also serve as the temporary home of Purdue Polytechnic High School for the 2017-2018 academic year and Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology is set to open a new space in the building.
