The craft brewery is celebrating the grand opening of its location near the campus of the University of Notre Dame while construction continues on another location in downtown Bloomington.
Danny Boy Draft Works Notre Dame is located inside the Overlook Complex just off the South Bend campus. The Bloomington location is set to open in early August. The brewery says both locations are family-friendly.
"We are excited about expanding in South Bend and Bloomington, introducing our great craft beers to more Notre Dame and Indiana University fans," said Kevin Paul, owner of Danny Boy Beer Works. "We plan to embrace the spirit of both of these awesome schools by being open early on game days and by including sections for those who are under 21."
The brewery says the South Bend location has 16 taps, 12 of which are dedicated to Danny Boy craft beers. The Bloomington location will feature 26 taps. Both will feature carry-out service for growlers and craft cans.
Financial details of the new locations were not disclosed, however the brewery says the expansion will result in about 40 new jobs.
