The speedway says the resale marketplace will allow fans to buy and sell 100-percent guaranteed tickets to the 101st running of the Indianapolis 500.
PrimeSport will host and manage the ticket exchange. Those unable to attend the Indy 500 will be able to post their tickets for sale online with PrimeSport ensuring the security and authenticity of the tickets.
IMS says fans who sell their tickets on the exchange will not lose their seniority or the option to renew their tickets during the annual renewal period.
"We are excited to expand our partnership with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and help them launch their first ever official ticket exchange in 2017," said Michael Huber, senior vice president of PrimeSport. "Our priority is always to help deliver the best possible experience to race fans and now we can help fans buy and sell their tickets in a secure, official environment."
PrimeSport will also offer travel packages to the Indy 500 and other Verizon IndyCar Series races during the season. You can see more about the Official IMS Ticket Exchange by clicking here.
