Culver Academies Names Chief Advancement Officer

She previously served as vice president of development for the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. Johnson also served as an adjunct Instructor for Indiana University’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs. She spent several years with the IU Foundation and was the first director of women’s philanthropy, where she established the Women’s Philanthropy Council in partnership with IU First Lady, Laurie Burns McRobbie. Johnson also served as IU Foundation’s director of development, major gifts.
She is a graduate of the IU School of Public and Environmental Affairs. Johnson also earned a Certificate in Fund Raising Management from the IU Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. In 2015, IU-SPEA invited her to join its Distinguished Alumni Council. Other honors include a Council for Advancement and Support of Education Circle of Excellence Silver Award in 2011, which honors programs that epitomize the profession’s best practices, raise standards and contribute to a growing body of knowledge about advancement.
