IUPUI Dedicates $42M Residence Hall
IUPUI has dedicated its first traditional residence hall. The $42.5 million North Hall has room for 700 students and features a computer lab, programming space and two classrooms.
North Hall is the first traditional residence hall built at IUPUI since it was founded in 1969. Chancellor Nasser Paydar, Interim Vice Chancellor For Student Affairs Tralicia Lewis and Indiana University President Michael McRobbie took part in today’s dedication.
The 172,000 square-foot building also includes a game room, fitness area and a laundry facility.
The Indianapolis campus also offers housing at University Tower, which is a multi-use facility that has 560 beds as well as dining, fitness and social spaces. In recent years, IU has also added on-campus student housing options at its campuses in South Bend and New Albany.
IUPUI has more than 30,000 students enrolled in 17 schools.
