AVON -

Crew Carwash has broken ground on a $5 million location in Avon. The facility, scheduled to open this winter, will be the company's second in Avon and 30th in Indiana.

The Hendricks County location will employ nearly 20 full- and part-time workers. Crew says it is currently hiring for management positions as well as full- and part-time associates at the Avon location. The company says eligible employees can participate in its Tuition Assistance or Student Loan Repayment Assistance plans.

The project continues the footprint expansion for Crew. In June, the company began work on its first two locations outside of central Indiana, as well as a new Indianapolis facility. The projects in Indy, Bloomington and Merrillville involve a $15 million investment and around 75 jobs.

The new facility will located at 7127 E. US 36.
