Impact CNC Growing Again
Columbia City-based Impact CNC LLC has announced its second expansion in as many weeks. The production machining company says it will invest more than $3 million to add a new production line and a small number of jobs at a second location in the city.
The expansion at its Gateway Industrial Park facility will involve 10 new workers.
Last week, the company it announced it would invest more than $2 million in new machinery and add a small number of jobs at another Whitley County facility. At the time, owner Jerry Busche said, "We will continue to invest in these plants because of the excellent work force and the business-friendly environment that the city and Whitley County have to offer."
Whitley County has approved $50,000 in incentives and a 10-year tax abatement for real estate improvements, new machinery and equipment at the request of the Whitley County Economic Development Crop.
The company says it is currently hiring at both locations.
