Two Indiana subsidiaries of New Hampshire-based C&S Wholesale Grocers Inc. are closing their facilities in Indianapolis and Yorktown. In notices to the state, Indianapolis Haulage LLC and Indianapolis Logistics LLC say 186 employees will lose their jobs as a result of the parent company losing a contract with Indianapolis-based Marsh Supermarkets.

The companies, which provided distribution and supply chain services for Marsh, say they anticipate the layoffs to take place between September 16 and September 29. The exact time period remains subject to bargaining with the local union regarding the effects of the closure. 

Earlier this month, Marsh announced it had signed a new distribution and supply agreement with Minnesota-based SUPERVALU.
