The website design, social media management and digital advertising firm will invest $400,000 in the move, which is expected to create about a dozen jobs.
Economic Development Corp. Michigan City says SERA opened its Michigan City office earlier this month. Founder and Chief Executive Officer Seth Spencer says the decision to move to the city was an easy one.
"The city was business friendly and responded to our all our needs and concerns," said Spencer. "SERA Solutions is excited about the economic progress in Michigan City and wants to be part of the community. Michigan City is our new home and we want to ensure everyone is taken care of."
The company says the move will increase its footprint in the northwest Indiana region to meet customer demand. Michigan City Mayor Ron Meer said SERA is "the type of high tech company we like to see relocate to City of Michigan City creating high wage jobs."
