(NYSE: LLY) marks its 140th anniversary, the pharmaceutical company has released a new annual report. The company’s first report of its kind details business, financial and corporate responsibility highlights.
In a video message, Chief Executive Officer John Lechleiter said the company "turned the corner" in 2015.
This is the first time Lilly combined its annual report and corporate responsibility report into one document that details financial, social, employment and environmental activities from throughout the year.
In 2015, Lilly returned to revenue growth after several years of losing exclusive rights to multiple blockbusters. Lilly says nine potential treatments in its pipeline made advancements in 2015 that have already led to late-stage testing or regulatory review this year.
Other highlights include its global Lilly NCD Partnership and Lilly MDR-TB Partnership, which focus on the non-communicable diseases like diabetes and multidrug-resistant tuberculosis, and HATCH for Hunger, which provides eggs for undernourished people in the Midwest.
