Tech Companies Bringing High-Wage Jobs

FISHERS and INDIANAPOLIS -

Two technology companies have announced plans to expand operations in central Indiana. Virginia-based Innolance and Indianapolis-based Matchbook Creative say they will create more than 50 high-wage jobs by 2020.

Innolance, a mobile application developer, will invest over $300,000 to set up its first Midwest office in Fishers. The company will open the office in the newly-relocated Launch Fishers within the next three months. Innolance plans to add up to 31 new jobs by 2020.

"Our team is very grateful to the Indiana Economic Development Corporation for helping us make this expansion to Fishers possible," said Abhi VK, chief executive officer of Innolance. "With the incredible growth the state of Indiana has seen in technology over the past few years, we are excited to add Fishers as a strategic geography for the expansion of our company. We look forward to partnering with the city of Fishers as we establish a local presence here in the great Hoosier state."

Matchbook Creative will invest more than $581,000 to expand its Indy headquarters. The company will renovate a new two-story building, which will more than double the firm's office space and will include 5,000 square feet of rental space for commercial tenants. The expansion will create 20 new jobs by 2019.

"We love being able to contribute both value and employment opportunities in our community, and we hope to bring this previously vacant building to life and help attract new business to the Old Northside Neighborhood District."

The Indiana Economic Development Corp. has offered both companies over $100,000 each in conditional tax credits. Matchbook Creative also received up to $45,000 in training grants.

The IEDC says 59 tech companies announced expansion plans in Indiana last year. Those plans will result in the creation of more than 4,600 new jobs in the next few years.
