Noblesville Boys & Girls Club Plans New Facility

The Boys & Girls Club of Noblesville has announced plans for a nearly 34,000 square-foot building next to its current community center. The organization says the new building will help address the recent "rapid growth" of the club.

The new building will include a new gym, dedicated cafeteria, outdoor green space and the ability to expand programming for the children served by the club. The organization says increasing the program space is a great necessity because of growing membership numbers. The group has seen a 22 percent increase in membership since 2010.

"The current club does not afford us the space and ability to provide for the community like we strive to," says Bryan Mills, CEO of Community Health Network and a capital campaign cabinet member. "We do not want to be forced to underserve our youth or turn even one child away because of lack of space."

The Boys & Girls Club of Noblesville created a capital campaign in February 2015 with the goal of raising $6 million for the new facility. To date, the organization has raised nearly 70 percent of the necessary funds.

"There is a great need within our community for the services offered at the Club, therefore, it is imperative that a new facility be constructed, which will allow the Club and its members to build & grow," said Jerry Collins, who serves as the co-chair of the capital campaign.

The organization says when completed, the new facility will immediately provide the ability to impact 53 percent more youth.
