Aurora Casket CEO Takes Job in South
The president and chief executive officer of Dearborn County-based Aurora Casket Co. has taken the same position with a South Carolina manufacturer. Michael Quinn joins AM Conservation Group Inc., a subsidiary of Kohlberg & Co., Aurora Casket’s previous owner.
Quinn has led the iconic Indiana funeral products manufacturer since 2012.
In August, Pennsylvania-based Matthews International Corp. (Nasdaq: MATW) completed the $214 million acquisition of Aurora Casket.
Quinn previously served as an executive with other companies including United States Infrastructure Corp., Innotek Inc.-owned Invisible Fence and StairMaster Health and Fitness Products.
"I am thrilled to join an industry-leading company with such significant expansion potential. AMCG has strong relationships with major utilities and energy efficiency programs, and I am excited to help AMCG work with its customers to continue to provide best-in-class services and products while successfully executing its strategic vision," said Quinn.
In its fiscal 2015 earnings report released in November, Matthew International CEO Joseph Bartolacci said integration efforts involving Aurora Caskets are "progressing well," and will extend through the current year due to the complexity of the acquisition. Matthew International plans to release fiscal first quarter results January 28.
