The Boone County Economic Development Corp. says the taproom will be the first microbrewery of its kind in Boone County in nearly 150 years.
Noble Order says it has been working with the Boone County EDC and the town of Zionsville to establish the taproom since the brewery’s visit to the Whitestown Brewfest in September. Co-owner Mike Miller says they chose Zionsville for its "aesthetics and overall vibe and feel."
"The town has an Americana/European village atmosphere that fits with our vision and direction,” said Miller. “Our history with Sugarcreek Hops Farm and Sugar Creek Malt Company have laid the foundation of partnership with Boone County… to produce an all-Boone County beer year round is something that should excite the community as it does our brewery and our Boone County partners.”
The taproom is expected to open in late January or early February, pending approval of local permits. Zionsville Mayor Jeff Papa says the taproom will make Zionsville’s Main Street more attractive to visitors and guests.
