Governor Mike Pence will take part in an announcement from Rolls-Royce in Indianapolis. Earlier this year, the aircraft engine maker told Inside INdiana Business it was considering investing "several hundred million dollars" to modernize its facilities. Also Monday, a New York-based company is set to make a jobs announcement in Carmel. The city says the company will detail a new Midwest headquarters.
Monday’s announcement will mark the second major investment by Rolls-Royce in Indiana in recent weeks. Last month, the company said it would be the first tenant in the recently-established Purdue Research Park Aerospace District in West Lafayette. The development facility will be built and owned by the Purdue Research Foundation.
Carmel, which was recently named 2015 Community of the Year by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, announced last week PolicyStat LLC was planning to add close to 50 workers in the coming years as part of a long-term expansion.
Aegis Worldwide, also headquartered in the Hamilton County city, is creating 25 jobs with the recent addition of accounting and financial staffing services.
Delta Faucet Co. is currently at work on a $17.5 million renovation and expansion of its Carmel headquarters. In May, Merchants Bank of Indiana detailed a new $25 million main office in the city’s Midtown district and last year, Stonegate Mortgage Corp. (NYSE: SGM) announced plans to add up to 400 jobs by 2017.
Monday’s news conference will involve officials from the yet-to-be-named company and Carmel Mayor Jim Brainard.
