A defense industry contractor headquartered in Washington D.C. has completed the acquisition of Bedford-based Tri Star Engineering Inc. G/Force Inc. says adding Tri Star will be “transformational” for the growth of both companies. April 20, 2015

News Release

BEDFORD, Ind. – On March 31, 2015, G/Force, Incorporated completed a definitive agreement under which Tri Star Engineering has been acquired by privately-held G/Force. Tri Star will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of G/Force led by Chief Executive Officer and Founder, Mr. Carlos Gaitani. The acquisition diversifies G/Force's capabilities in the Defense and Aerospace market, as Tri Star brings strong sector expertise in key areas including Information Assurance, Radar Restoration, and Acquisition Logistics within the Defense and Federal government services market. Tri Star also adds to G/Force's Sensor Systems capabilities, deepening a core competency that G/Force will be able to leverage across its customer base.

Founded in 1995, Tri Star grew to become the first woman/minority owned defense contractor in Indiana providing technical support services to NSWC Crane and other Department of Defense agencies. Tri Star Engineering won its first contract in 1996 supporting US Navy Electronic Warfare Systems. Since that time, Tri Star has focused on growing work in the Spectrum, Cyber and Expeditionary warfare domains through support of advanced radar systems, electro-optic and infrared force protection systems, counter-IED systems and information assurance and network attack support services. Tri Star's support includes radio frequency (RF) systems such as SPS-49 Radar as well as electronic warfare systems such as the AN/SLQ-32 and the Surface Electronic Warfare Improvement Program (SEWIP) but also supports millimeter wave enhancements and infrared (IR) systems such as the Thermal Imaging Sensor System (TISS).

“We are proud to include Tri Star as part of the G/Force portfolio and we continue to be dedicated to providing the best services available to our customers,” said Carlos Gaitani, G/Force CEO. “Beyond the benefits that this transaction creates for our customers and employees, the combination of our two complementary businesses is transformational and accelerates our strategy of creating a premier defense services provider with superior capabilities to support the most advanced sensors and weapon systems and solve complex problems our military and national security experts face today.”
