Indianapolis, Ind. — Central Indiana Community Foundation (CICF) announced changes for CICF's board of directors and to the board of directors for its affiliate, The Indianapolis Foundation.The CICF board of directors welcomes three new members to begin a three-year term: Mr. J.A. Lacy, president and CEO at LDI, Ltd.; Mr. Aasif Bade, president at Ambrose Property Group; and Mrs. Jean Blackwell, retired Cummins executive. Returning director, Ms. Traci Dolan, has been elected to serve a second term, while both Ms. Marianne Glick and Mr. Joe Smith were elected to serve a third term.
Rotating off the CICF board are Mr. Henry Fernandez and Mr. Mark Hill who served two years as board chair. Ms. Cindy Simon Skjodt, community leader, replaces Mr. Milt Thompson as board chair of The Indianapolis Foundation, an affiliate of CICF; Milt Thompson remains as a director on the board and was re-appointed to his fifth six-year term on The Indianapolis Foundation board of directors by U.S. District Court, Chief Judge Richard Young, this year. Ms. Simon Skjodt was appointed to The Indianapolis Foundation board of directors in 2004 by Mayor Bart Peterson for a six-year term and was re-appointed by Mayor Greg Ballard in 2009. Ms. Simon Skjodt is a Sagamore of the Wabash recipient and is involved with the Simon Youth Foundation and the Pacers Foundation. She serves on several boards, including as vice chair of Central Indiana Community Foundation and secretary of The William E. English Foundation. Mr. Charlie Pechette will rotate off the William E. English Foundation, a fund of CICF, while Mr. Bob Grand has elected to serve another three-year term.
