New Albany, Ind. — One Southern Indiana (1si) announced the winners of their 27th annual ONE Awards, formerly the Southern Indiana Business Awards. The winners received recognition at a dinner held on Tuesday at Huber's Orchard, Winery & Vineyard's Plantation Hall. More than 500 attendees celebrated the success of these local and regional businesses.
The program recognized three finalists in seven categories and selected a company as the economic development project of the year. Each of the finalists was showcased in a customized video before representatives of each award's sponsor announced the winners. Guests were also treated to entertainment from Executive Board Members and a grand finale by the staff. “With the rebranding of this program to the ONE Awards, we have taken measures to make the evening more lively and fun,” said Wendy Dant Chesser, President and CEO of 1si. “As always, the caliber of nominees was top notch and the competition was fierce. The evening was a testament to the robust businesses in our region with many One Southern Indiana member businesses and individuals receiving recognition they richly deserve.”
