“EVV is thankful for the investment that United Airlines is making in our region. The estimated annual economic impact to a community for adding three regional jet departures is $12 million,” stated Dianna Page, Director of Marketing and Air Service Development. “As a Star Alliance Partner, United Airlines further connects us to the world. There is virtually no where you can’t get to from here with the addition of this missing puzzle piece.” The Star Alliance includes 27 different airlines from around the globe and serves 193 countries.

“On behalf of the City of Evansville, I would like to welcome United Airlines to the Tri-State region. I am extremely excited about the new air service to Chicago and the additional options it will provide to business and leisure travelers, including more connections to cities out west and international flights,” said Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke. “These three new daily flights to Chicago will have a tremendous economic impact on our region and demonstrates that United sees great potential for future growth in the Evansville market.”

“In addition to giving our region additional connectivity and flexibility to cities we already serve, many more worldwide destinations are now available,” added Executive Director Doug Joest. “Completing our runway project over a year ahead of schedule made it possible for this additional service to be initiated this year.”
