Indianapolis, Ind. — Former U.S. Attorney Joe Hogsett's mayoral campaign announced today the membership of its Policy Leadership Team. This group of community and civic leaders will meet regularly and spearhead the campaign’s ongoing policy development efforts.
Indianapolis is facing a number of major public policy challenges. In 2014, Indianapolis experienced another dramatic increase in violent gun crime, and the city is now among the ten deadliest in the nation. One in three children in Marion County currently lives in poverty, and educational attainment rates in the city continue to lag well behind national averages.
“I am honored that so many wonderful community leaders have joined our campaign to provide a vision for a safer, more prosperous Indianapolis,” said Hogsett. “I have no doubt that our city will benefit from the collective knowledge, service, and experience of this group.”
