News Release

BATESVILLE-OLDENBURG, Ind. (Feb. 17, 2014) – Green BEAN Delivery, an online home delivery service that provides organic produce and natural groceries to its members, announces today that it is expanding services to Batesville-Oldenburg, Ind. The company distributes organic, local and sustainably grown foods directly to consumers’ doorsteps.

Green BEAN Delivery was founded in 2007 by husband and wife team Matt Ewer and Elizabeth Blessing who designed the company to make organic produce and natural groceries convenient, affordable and accessible to Midwest communities. It is the Midwest’s most extensive network of farmers and artisans with organic and sustainable practices.

As of today, Batesville-Oldenburg residents can create accounts and place their orders online by visiting www.greenbeandelivery.com. Deliveries begin week of March 3. During account set-up, customers can select a produce bin size of their choice and delivery frequency (weekly or bi-weekly) with flexible scheduling options. Perks of membership include: no sign-up fees, no commitments, free membership and delivery. Each produce bin is completely customizable and allows the members to add grocery staples like local dairy, meats, bread and other grocery products to each order. All products are all-natural and free of additives and preservatives; members can choose from more than 1,000 products available each week.

“We focus on improving the health of our urban communities while strengthening sustainable food businesses with both rural and urban roots,” said Matt Ewer, founder of Green B.E.A.N. Delivery. “We’re thrilled to begin serving Batesville-Oldenburg with the freshest produce and all-natural groceries, while providing an avenue for local artisans and farmers to share their crafts and talents.”

Since inception, Green BEAN Delivery has invested more than $7 million into local food economies throughout the Midwest. Focused on home delivery of organic, local and sustainably grown foods, the company is now serving more than 15,000 customers in Indianapolis, Fort Wayne and Columbus, Ind., Cincinnati, Columbus and Dayton, Ohio, Louisville and Lexington, Ky., and St. Louis. Green BEAN Delivery also operates the Feel Good Farm, an organic vegetable farm located in Sheridan.
