A disinfectant developed by an Anderson-based company is included on a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention list. Our partners at The Herald Bulletin report Coeus Technology's GEN10 has been approved by the CDC to disinfect some surfaces from the Ebola virus. President Nate Richardson says around 40 products made the cut from the center.

He says manufacturers in clothing, composites, bath and doormat industries use Coeus technology.

The company currently employs a small number in Madison County and has a nationwide sales force.

In addition to Ebola, Coeus says GEN 10 works against staph, E.coli, MRSA, H1N1, flu, HIV, Hepatitis B & C, and Norovirus.
