Indiana Restaurants Receive Makeover

Orlando, Fla. — Olive Garden has completed the remodel of its Greenwood, Muncie and Anderson restaurants – the first of several restaurants in the Indianapolis market that will be remodeled in the coming weeks. The new, updated design is the latest phase of Olive Garden's brand renaissance, which includes the roll-out of a new logo and largest menu evolution in the restaurant’s history – both of which took place earlier this year.
“We’ve maintained what guests love about us while reflecting a more up-to-date Olive Garden,” said Greg Tuzzio, General Manager of the Olive Garden in Greenwood. “Whether our guests are enjoying an old favorite – or trying one of our newest menu items – we've already received an outstanding response. My restaurant team and I are proud to share our remodeled design with the local Greenwood community.”
New Design Elements
Overall, the updated restaurants will feature a more open, vibrant and up-to-date design, with new artwork, fabrics and materials, lighting, seating, countertops and flooring, as well as a stacked-stone entry tower displaying the new “Olive Garden Italian Kitchen” logo sign. Updated plateware is also being introduced with the redesign. Specific elements throughout the restaurant include:
• Removed walls for a more open, inviting atmosphere
• Distinctive d?cor, maintaining a comfortable, home-like feel
• New lobby that encourages guests to gather and leads to a more modern bar area
• Flexible seating to accommodate guests and large parties
• Glass-encased decorative walls featuring 60-80 bottles of wine
• Two TV screens on either side of waiting area featuring high-definition, scenic footage of Italy that also serves as a digital chalk board noting limited time offers
The following Indianapolis-area locations will complete remodels by the end of November:
• 8155 E. Washington St. in Indianapolis
• 6130 E. 82nd St. in Indianapolis (Castleton Square Mall)
• 4015 S. Lafountain in Kokomo
The Avon, Bloomington, Noblesville and Carmel locations will feature the new “Olive Garden Italian Kitchen” logo on the exterior of the building.
As part of the restaurant's commitment to giving back to the communities it serves, Olive Garden is donating furnishings from remodeled restaurants to local Habitat for Humanity ReStore outlets, which use funds to build Habitat homes in local communities. This is part of a larger partnership between Olive Garden’s parent company, Darden Restaurants, and Habitat for Humanity International.
Olive Garden restaurants in the Indianapolis area are open daily at 11 a.m. for lunch and are open until 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and until 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
