Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital and the Eskenazi Health Campus took the highest honor at the Indy Chamber's annual Monumental Awards gala. The event honors companies for achievements in areas including architecture, interior design and public art.

Indianapolis, Ind. — Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital and Eskenazi Health Campus received the highest honor of the Monumental Award tonight at the Indy Chamber's annual Monumental Awards gala.

The premier awards ceremony, organized with assistance from the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS), honored the most significant achievements by individuals and businesses that contribute to excellence in architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, construction, real estate development, neighborhood revitalization, engineering, innovative reuse and public art throughout the Indianapolis region.

“Eskenazi Hospital and Health Campus not only provided an economic stimulus to our region, but its modern design, sustainable engineering, and commitment to public art and public space make a great statement about the values of our community,” Michael Huber, president and CEO of the Indy Chamber, explained. “All submitted projects for the Monumental Awards showcase the vision and talents of Indy's design, engineering, and construction industries, and the Indy Chamber couldn't be more pleased to showcase them tonight.”

The Monumental Award was accepted by representatives of Pepper Construction Company of Indiana.

The winner of the Monumental Award was selected by an impartial jury of community and professional leaders from the Indianapolis region. All awards were deliberated by sanctioning organizations selected from the specific area of discipline for each category.

Architecture/Engineering: Simon Skojdt International Orangutan Center

Landscape Architecture: St. John's Catholic Church Courtyard

Interior Design: RATIO Indianapolis Sudio Renovation

Real Estate Development: Artistry

Construction: Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital and Eskenazi Health Campus

Innovative Reuse: Stadium Lofts

Neighborhood Revitalization: Avondale Meadows Health and Wellness Center

Public Art: Bright City
