News Release

Elwood, Ind. — Today, Red Gold announced a new expansion project that is well underway at Red Gold in Geneva, Indiana. “Career opportunities with America's largest privately-held canned tomato manufacturer are plentiful,” said Tim Ingle, Vice President, Human Resources and Corporate Strategy at Red Gold. “We have more than 20 new openings for the right skilled job seekers at various levels at our Geneva location,” Ingle continued. Opportunities fueled by Red Gold's continued growth and the recent warehouse expansion are focused but not limited to advanced manufacturing, production operations, and industrial maintenance.

“The new expansion is over 250,000 square feet and will allow plenty of room to grow,” said Brian Reichart, President and CEO of Red Gold. “This investment is more than $8.5 million at Geneva alone,” Brian continued. “Red Gold has continually invested in the best people, products, and technology. We are thrilled to create additional job growth in the northeast region of Indiana while providing more efficiency in our supply chain and better service to our customers,” said Reichart.

Due to increasing consumer demand for quality Midwestern grown tomato products, Red Gold has a need for additional high-quality employees who have a strong work ethic and a can-do attitude. “We have high standards at Red Gold and a reputation for seeking the brightest and the best employees in the food processing industry,” said Nancy Hudson, Geneva Human Resources Manager. Recently, Red Gold partnered with Purdue University's Statewide College of Technology in Portland, Ind. to offer even more job specific and career-related coursework. More than ever, a career in the food industry offers recent high school and college graduates an opportunity to learn new skills in a variety of jobs.
