The chief executive officer of Energize-ECI Inc. says the 10-county region is competing with communities throughout the world to land jobs. Mindy Kenworthy just returned from economic development visits to New York and New Jersey and says the area is still known for its auto manufacturing heritage, but is also growing a reputation for food processing. She says one of the biggest challenges facing the region is its lack of a widely-known metropolitan “hub” like Indianapolis, Evansville or Fort Wayne. October 13, 2014
