The Metropolitan Development Commission in Indianapolis is set to consider preliminary tax abatement requests Wednesday for two projects that together could create more than 1,000 jobs. Lowe's (NYSE: LOW) is looking to locate a $20 million customer support center in the city and TPS Caregiving LLC is planning to turn an abandoned restaurant into its headquarters. The Lowe's facility will be located in Intech Park on the city's northwest side. It is expected to employ 1,000 workers by 2017.

TPS plans to retain nearly four dozen employees and add 45 as part of its proposal. The company provides in-home and non-medical care for seniors.
