Ivy Tech Community College is continuing to expand its presence throughout the state. The college's 32nd campus will open today in Noblesville and a groundbreaking ceremony was recently held for a location in Anderson. During a recent interview on Inside INdiana Business Television, East Central Chancellor Andrew Bowne and Central Indiana Chancellor Kathleen Lee discussed the different focuses of each campus. The $20 million building in Anderson will be the city's fourth Ivy Tech facility and will have a general studies emphasis.

The Noblesville campus is in a former Noblesville High School building. Lee says it would not have been possible without collaboration with the city and county.

She says it will be a science, technology, engineering and math campus and will include a new construction technology program. Other points of focus include advanced manufacturing, design technology and HVAC.

Lee adds the local business community has expressed an interest in having certifications and degrees available to get people more rapidly available for the work force.
