The University of Notre Dame has unveiled three football uniform designs inspired by the school's iconic Golden Dome. In January, Maryland-based Under Armour Inc. (NYSE: UA) detailed a 10-year, exclusive uniform deal with the university's athletic program. The company released a video showing the design work behind the new looks. News Release

SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Inspired in large part by Notre Dame's tradition, and specifically based upon the University's iconic Golden Dome atop the Main Building, Notre Dame and Under Armour officially unveiled the Fighting Irish football team uniforms for the 2014 season. All three versions of the uniform — home, away and Shamrock Series — were on display Tuesday afternoon during head coach Brian Kelly's Notre Dame Football Media Day press conference inside the Isban Auditorium at the Guglielmino Athletics Complex on the Notre Dame campus.

This year's Fighting Irish football uniforms debuted exclusively on the Notre Dame and Under Armour social media channels (including Notre Dame's official Twitter page @FightingIrish and its Facebook page, facebook.com/FightingIrish) earlier on Tuesday. The featured look is the much-anticipated Shamrock Series uniform the Fighting Irish will wear when they face Purdue in the sixth annual Shamrock Series game at 7:30 p.m. (ET) Sept. 13 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis (the game will be televised live on NBC).

A closer look at this year's Notre Dame football uniforms can be seen in the photo gallery linked at the top of this page. In addition, a short video from Under Armour, explaining the genesis of this year's football uniform design, can be seen below.
