INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Today, Jonathan Nalli, CEO of St.Vincent, announced that Kyle DeFur has voluntarily resigned as regional president of St.Vincent Indianapolis Hospital, effective August 10, 2014.
Under DeFur's leadership, St.Vincent Indianapolis was named among America’s 50 Best Hospitals by Becker's Hospital Review. In addition, he continued the ministry’s tradition of being selected by consumers as the No.1 most preferred hospital in Indiana by the National Research Corporation. His direction earned St.Vincent Indianapolis the recognition as a Top 100 Hospital by Thomson Reuters, and he led the team to achieve Trauma verification from the American College of Surgeons. Prior to St.Vincent Indianapolis, Kyle served as president of St.Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital for four years.
“It has been an honor to serve as president of St.Vincent Indianapolis Hospital over the past six and a half years,” said DeFur. “I am grateful to have been given the opportunity to serve the Mission of St.Vincent.”
In the interim, Joel Feldman, MD, will lead St.Vincent Indianapolis Hospital, and report directly to Nalli. In addition, Dr. Feldman serves as the regional chief medical officer for St.Vincent Indianapolis, and will continue with this responsibility.
St.Vincent leadership will immediately begin a national search for a new regional president.
