The winter blast pounding the state is delaying the start of the 2014 session of the Indiana General Assembly. The Indiana House of Representatives and Indiana Senate have cancelled Monday's sessions. The bill filing deadline is being extended by one day. House and Senate officials says the decision is being made because of the heavy snow and Monday's anticipated frigid temperatures.

Debate during this year's session will include several business-related issues, including the future of the business personal property tax.

Many businesses in the state have also lined up against a proposed amendment to the state Constitution that would further define marriage.
