IPFW has named Tonishea Jackson director of admissions. She currently serves as associate director of graduate admissions for DePaul University in Chicago and is expected to take over the new position in February. December 27, 2013

News Release

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Following a national search, Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) is pleased to announce Tonishea M. Jackson will join the university as director of admissions, effective early next year.

“The quality of the candidates who visited campus was high and I commend the search committee for their outstanding work. I am pleased to have Tonishea join IPFW in this important role,” said George McClellan, vice chancellor for student affairs and enrollment management.

Jackson, who currently serves as associate director of graduate admissions for DePaul University in Chicago, will start as director of admissions effective February 2014.

Jackson has been with DePaul University since 2008. From 2002–08 she served as the senior assistant director of admission and financial aid at The John Marshall Law School. Jackson received a B.A. in political science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an M.A. in public administration from the Illinois Institute of Technology.

“It is an immense honor to join such a vibrant and collegial campus community like IPFW,” said Jackson on her selection. I am eager to add sustainable value and leadership to the admission team as the director of admissions and excited to begin to build relationships with faculty, staff, students, and alumni to achieve enrollment goals together. I am grateful to all those who took part in the search process as it gave me indelible insight into the true fabric of the IPFW spirit. I look forward to the move in the new year and am very appreciative of the warm welcome I have received already from future colleagues as my family and I make a transition to the Fort Wayne area.”
