Thousands of homes and businesses in several areas remain without power as damage assessments and cleanup continue. Pence has already stopped in Kokomo and Logansport and is scheduled to visit the VoestAlpine plant in Lafayette. WLFI-TV in West Lafayette reports the auto supplier sustained major damage. The Governor will be joined on the Tippecanoe County area visit by Lafayette Mayor Tony Roswarski and Congressman Todd Rokita.
He will then head south to Washington to inspect damage in that area. The city's Mayor Joe Wellman and Congressman Larry Buschon are also expected to be on hand.
Our partner radio station, WAMW-FM in Washington took a direct hit and posted the following video after the storm blew through.
